Question Upgrade

I currently have a ryzen 3 2200g, 8gb ram, rx 580 8gb, asus tuf b450m-plus gaming motherboard and a 550 watt psu I'm wondering if I upgrade my cpu to the new ryzen 5 3600 would it be safe and would it work on my current motherboard or if I should just upgrade to something like the ryzen 7 2700x or the 2600x instead

3600 Should be safe with BIOS 1607.
