Im looking to buy r5 3600/16gb of ram 3600mhz/b450 gaming x max / in about 3 weeks and i was questioning the performace leap . Maybe you guys can help me . i mostly play rust and escape from tarkov but i also play borderlands 3

Specs : i5 4460 4c/4t Benchmarks : rust 45-75 fps pro settings
gtx 970 3.5gb vram tarkov 40-50 fps pro settings
16gb 1600mhz ddr3 borderlands 3 steady 50 fps


I was also curious about fps stability because with my old i5 i get fps drops every 3 minutes of gameplay.Thanks for reading my thread!

B550 boards come out on June 16th (tomorrow). Consider them.

CPU performance uplift will be significant. Especially in online gameplay.

The GTX970 can probably last out at 1080p till at least this fall when AMD & Nvidia launch their new GPUs.
