[SOLVED] Upgraded cpu and monitor wont come out of sleep mode

I upgraded my cpu from a ryzen 3 1200 to a ryzen 5 3600 and it won't boot up. The mother board is a asrock a320m hdv.
When I power it on all the fans spin and light up but the monitor stays in sleep mode, and none of the peripherals light up or work. I've tried to reset the cmos a couple different times and that didn't work either. Im also pretty sure that the bios is up to date. It still boots up perfectly fine when I put the old cpu back in. I'm pretty stumped here and any help would be appreciated. Please and thanks

Did you update your BIOS while you still had the Ryzen 1200 installed? You need BIOS P5.90 or above.

Do I just download it, put it on a flash drive and boot from flash drive?

You’re gonna need to put your old CPU back in to flash bios

As stated above you will need your 1200 installed in your computer. After that follow these instructions. I would use option 1 where you boto into BIOS then run the BIOS updater that way.

Yep it was the bios not being up to date, I finally got it working. Thanks everyone for your input, appreciate it
