upgraded cpu and ram and gpu pc wont post

i received my Q6600 4gb of ddr2 ram and my gt 730 4gb this morning and i put my new cpu in and i was getting no display so i read somewhere that i may have to update the bios doing so i put my old cpu back in and updated the bios. Also i tried clearing the CMOS didn't work i know the MB works fine im lost dont know what else to try.
system specs:
motherboard: intel DQ965GF
GPU: msi gt 730 4gb
psu:Antec 500w 80 plus

isnt the best components to have but oh well. appreciate any help

I’d put the system back to its old hardware and see if it boots. If it now boots change one thing at a time, I’d start with the RAM. If RAM is ok add the gpu. Then if RAM and GPU are ok try the new cpu.

i put the old cpu back in to update the bios works fine even with the new ram in and the gpu but i dont get video through gpu i have to use integrated graphics its as soon as i put the q6600 in it wont boot it dont even make and beeps either

Hmm seems to suggest there is something wrong with the cpu.

when i first put the new cpu in it would boot but it wouldnt switch its self of it would just stay on and not have a display its only been untill i updated the BIOS that it stays on for about 10 seconds and then switches of.

It hasn't worked properly with either BIOS and your original cpu works ok. I cannot think of anything else it can be.
