I recently upgraded my cpu, the computer boots into bios normally and shows that i have both my drives installed in the central area under RAID (samsung 870 evo and samsung 990 pro), but when i enter windows 11 Setup via usb, EVEN when i try using the Samsung drivers (which ARE detected on my usb, and these drivers worked when i had issues with storage drivers on my old cpu ), there's still no drive detected. Latest Bios. Asus Rog Strix B660-I Motherboard, 13700f is the new cpu.

Please Help!

Edit: I swapped my old 970 evo plus for a fresh 990 pro, so command prompt is off the table unless I reinstall my i5-12400f and old drive. I still have the old cpu and drive so reinstalling them is an option.

I havent tried UEFI Mode, or making the drive gpt, thank you for the suggestions i will try them later and report back.

I reinstalled my i5 12400f, and used the fresh 990 pro. windows didnt initially detect a drive in setup but after searching for the drivers, it did. Im taking a break from tinkering now ><. Will reinstall the 13700f today or tomorrow. Thanks again!

Ok so, i tried CSM UEFI mode for both booting into windows and installing windows via USB, theres still no drives detected, outside of the BIOS screen. Even when i go to load drivers in windows setup via usb, the drivers are detected but when applying them, no dice.

I entered command prompt, too, and looked in DISKPART. No drives are detected from the windows recovery screen. Its not letting me into windows.

This is all with the i7 13700f. I dont know why my drives are detected in bios, i can even go into a semi-full advanced options menu in windows...but windows isnt detecting a drive and the bios isnt detecting windows fully.

I have 2 drives installed. I have already installed windows on the 990 pro via the i5 12400f, and the 990 pro IS detected in the bios boot menu.

Ok, can i do that from within the bios? Ive looked it up where it said press f7 and disable vmd....i see RST but it just displays info with nothing to toggle.
Switch to simple BIOS mode.
There should be a button for disabling Intel RST.
