[SOLVED] Upgraded GPU and PSU 3 mths ago. Monitor doesn't detect signal now

Hello!

I upgraded my GPU and PSU on May 2019 and this is my build now:
Intel i7-3770 3.4GHz
ASUS P8Z77V-LK
8 GB RAM
Seagate 1TB HDD
ZOTAC GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5X (from Nvidia GTX 760)
Seasonic Focus Gold 650W PSU (from Seventeam ST-850ZAF)
*Note that the other parts are a little old, since 2013...?

For the past 3 months, it has ran well and was able to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey smoothly.

How it happened:
As usual, I turned on the computer and it started up. I left it turned on and the display went to sleep. I tried waking the display up, but it didn't; the desktop was still running.

• Forced restarted by holding power button and pressing it again. The desktop ran, but the monitor was unable to detect any signal. ZOTAC light from the GPU lights up as usual.
• Forced restarted again, but this time, the desktop began to turn on and off on its own, which I believe is the PSU's protection feature.
• Forced restarted again, desktop ran, but the monitor was unable to detect any signal. ZOTAC light from the GPU still lights up. This is the state now whenever I try turning it on, hoping it would work, but it doesn't.

Tested the monitor and cable. They worked fine on another desktop.

Any thoughts or advice?

With the discrete GPU disconnected, you might want to see if your system powers up and gives out a display to your monitor when connected to the monitor.

Thanks for your reply!

Disconnected the GPU, system powers up but still no display from the VGA port of the motherboard. Tested the VGA cable beforehand and it worked fine.

While connecting display to VGA port, I tried disconnecting the GPU by unplugging the power and removing it physically; in both situations, system powers up but no display still.

I’m not sure what was the latest BIOS update for my motherboard... and I have no idea how to check now without the display.

Any clue about what’s the problem?

Edit: While the system was running, the fans were working and the green light on the motherboard was lit. However, when plugging my phone to any USB port to test for power, none managed to charge.

this is exactly what is happening to my pc and why i made this account to ask about. it happened few weeks ago and i took it to a specialist. he fixed it and said that the BIOS locked it self due to CPU overheating and that my CPU cooler fans are so dirty that they must be replaced. he updated the bios and everything worked fine. after that i started to have drop is FPS in all games like sudden drops. anyway today i restarted my pc and the same happened "no signal detected" i dont know what to do, since no one solved this issue here i think i will have to take it again and see what will happen. will keep you updated.
btw i monitored my GPU and CPU temp all the time and they were normal so i dont think it is a heating problem. maybe the motherboard is getting old or it is the PSU.
update: it is the motherboard. it has a bent pin that made other problems like not giving the cpu enough power that it caused the motherboard to lock it self.
