Upgraded mobo for 8800gt - intel

Hi guys,
I know someone already posted re this but it was for an AMD cpu. I have an asrock dual series VSTA mobo as a stop over gap with an overclocked core2duo @ 2.4GHz, 2GB corsair PC2-5400 mem, a wintek 7600gt and 2 ageing IDE drives.
The 8000 series GPUs are apparently incompatible with my mobo (hell you get what you pay for) so, as I'm getting one for xmas I figured a mobo upgrade (and maybe a sata hard drive) would be the way to go.

Anyone kind enough to make a suggestion?

A board for overclocking?

Sorry. Not really a hardcore OCer, just upped the 4300 to take advantage really. Cost ideally low rather than high end, overclocking a bonus really. Something that means I can keep most of my components and have room to upgrade later on.

If the 2 ide/pata drives are an optical + hard disk, any Intel chipset is fine. If they're 2 hard disks + 1 ide/pata dvd drive, most Intel chipsets don't have 2 ide connectors. In which case, nvidia chipsets like 650i (cheap & overclockable) are the only option.
