I use Cox Cable in Vegas, and they just upgraded my 100mbps connection to 150. Well, my old modem maxed out at 100, but I have an Arris SB6182 lying around that can hit 150, so I swapped them out. Told Cox, they activated new modem, works well. Wired modem to computer directly, 170/180mbps top speed. But then when I connect it through the lan on my router, I drop to around 40mbps. Previously, this same router was giving me my 100mbps with the old modem. What do?? Please help!

Router Info: TP Link Archer C50

You probably have 40mbps set in your routers Bandwidth Control Settings.

Enables bandwidth management allowing you to allocate more data for gaming or streaming or limit connection speeds to keep people on task.

• Enable Bandwidth Control - Check this box so that the Bandwidth Control settings can take effect.
• Egress Bandwidth - The upload speed through the Internet port.
• Ingress Bandwidth - The download speed through the Internet port.

I appreciate the reply, but no, that's not it. I switched back to my old modem and am once again getting 100mbps. It seems this router won't support anything over 100 on lan, and for some reason when I use the modem that gets around 170, the router overlimits it to around 40
