Hello,
I recently wanted to upgrade my motherboard so that I could SLI my Graphics Cards. I already had one GTX 660 and I received another for christmas.
My other specs:
Processor: i7 2600 Sandy Bridge
Graphics Card: Asus Geforce GTX 660 2GB
PSU:Thermaltake TR2-RX 650W
RAM: 8 GB Corsair Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 1333 MHz
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
Original Motherboard: MSI Z68 GD55-(G3)
Now I have run this rig for about 6 months and I have had no troubles other than a HDD die on me. However, yesterday, I installed the new motherboard: ASUS P8 Z77-V LK and have had nothing but issues since. First, any kind of video experiences poor porformance. Streaming Netflix is extremely laggy. Playing games with the exact same graphics options as before is just one huge debacle with framerate. I have tried uninstalling the card and installing againt, I've tried setting up the SLI with both cards. I'm at a loss. The next thing I will try will be to install the old motherboard again, however, it is not SLI compatible and I do not want to sit on a nice $200 graphics card. Is it possible that my mobo is defective? Are my cards breaking down? Any help is greatly appreciated.
