[SOLVED] Upgraded new CPU, but now PC won't work

So I ordered a brand new Ryzen 7 5800x for my PC, and when I installed it, the light on the PC never came on and there happened to be a really loud PSU fan going off. Is my setup not compatible?

MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Corsair H60 (2018) 57.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
MSI GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB GAMING Z Video Card

What is the original CPU?

Did you update BIOS to the latest to be compatible with 5800X?

After updating the BIOS and putting in the new CPU, did you reset CMOS?

My original cpu was the Ryzen 5 2600, but I last upgraded the bios about a year ago

Yep...you need to update BIOS. I'd swap the 2600 back in to do it. Just get the latest BIOS as it fixes some problems with USB dropouts and be sure to reset CMOS after swapping the 5800X back in.

How do I reset the CMOS?

How do I reset the CMOS?

Shut down, remove power, remove the coin cell battery, short the reset pins for 30 sec's or a minute, then reassemble.

Check the manual, it shows the location of the two CMOS reset pins.
