Hi I have the following spec:

ASUSTeK Computer INC. P6T SE (LGA1366)
Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.07GHz
I upgraded from 3 x DDR3-1600g from adata
to 6 x 4gb patriot viper 3 series DDR3-1600.

When I had all 6 in I was running into super long boot times, cpu and temp problems:

RAM Memory slots: Total memory slots 6 Used memory slots 6 Free memory slots 0 Memory Type: DDR3 Size 24576 MBytes Channels # Triple DRAM Frequency 534.5 MHz CAS# Latency (CL) 8 clocks RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 8 clocks RAS# Precharge (tRP) 8 clocks Cycle Time (tRAS) 20 clocks Command Rate (CR) 2T Physical Memory Memory Usage 10 % Total Physical 24 GB Available Physical 21 GB Total Virtual 28 GB Available Virtual 25 GB

I reduced to 3 x 4gb and my computer works great at about 51 C. According to the docs my mobo should support 24gb when I have all 6 in the boot time is long and the computer is slow, temperature is 85C +, and cpu spikes from 30-100%?

Solution
Boot times will get longer with bios memory test taking longer, but it shouldn't be slower overall, but faster.

More memory does take more power so more heat.

hmm yeah takes about 10min to get into window login screen when I finally get logged in CPU extremely spiky and everything is slow (Slow as in not usable at all) When I use ram in 110101 it also flies. Just when I have all 6 in my computer does not like it. If there is any other info I cna provide the community please let me know! I shold be able to get 6x4gb working.
