Question Upgraded ram from 8gb to 12gb but windows 10 only shows 8gb

Just added a new 4gb ram to my 2x 4gb combo. Its a no brand ram but in the bios it shows 12gb installed and so in CPU-Z but on windows system only shows 8gb

Can you show Resource Monitor - memory tab?

Do you have BIOS updated to latest version? If not, then may need to do so.

Also check, if there's max memory limitation set in msconfig boot/advanced options. If it is set, then remove the limitation.

No memory limitation, however, I will try update bios and keep you updated.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Other combinations you decide to make have no guarantee to be compatible together.

Workarounds to get extra memory to work include:
Lower memory clock speed
Relax DRAM timings
Increase DRAM voltage
