[SOLVED] 'upgraded SSD' has unallocated storage

Today, I upgraded my old SSD 256GB with a new Samsung 970 EVO PLUS SSD 1TB in my laptop. After that I booted my system up via a USB bootable windows flash drive. I did not choose to perform a fresh install but I've chosen to reinstall via a system image backup so I wouldn't lose any personal files. Everything went alright untill I've noticed that my new SSD isn't showing its full capacity and remained unchanged. I've located the unallocated storage (see pictures below), so it mean my SSD is not showing its full storage size. Any solution on how to transfer the unallocated storage over to my the current 256GB disk size?

You need to use a 3rd party tool such as Minitool Partition Wizard to merge the unallocated 693GB space into your C partition.

As USAFRet stated you could merge the partitions with a 3rd party app or you could use Disk Management to extend the Windows partition with the unallocated 693.04 GB empty space.
You might have to delete the WINRE partition.

Why so? Is it important and will it have any effect on my software after I remove it?

That partition has a backup that came with your laptop. If you have not plans to use that backup then you could delete it.

Disk Management can only merge to the right, and only if there is nothing in between the two partitions in question.

The above mentioned Minitool can probably manipulate the partitions as you desire.

It worked! I used Minitool Partition Wizard to delete the WINRE partition and as follow I then was able to merge my SSD space with the unallocated storage. Thanks!
