[SOLVED] Upgraded system won’t turn on

I recently bought an Intel i5 9400 with a MB MSI B360M Mortar and new psu but the computer won’t turn on. I did reinstall the old psu and do not turn on either.

what BIOS version is installed to the motherboard.
7B19v13.zip is the first version to support the i5-9400. earlier versions will not support the CPU at all and will exhibit what you describe.

the b365 boards are 9th gen ready out of the box. the b360 boards will need software installed and that will require a supported CPU to install.

I do not know the BIOS version, don’t know where to check, but thanks for replying so fast. So I need to get a MB B365.
