Question Upgraded to 4080 and no FPS gain in Squad or Tarkov

Hello, I'm in the process of upgrading my PC and just installed the 4080 from a 3060ti hoping to see an FPS gain in some games. It seems like there was little or non in most games. Herer is my UserBenchmark.

I have ordered a Ryzen 7 5800X3D that will be coming in soon as well. Any advice would be much appreciated as this is my first time doing all of this. I'm upgrading a pre-built PC.

I got a simillar rig with an R7 5800X3D (Before i have R7 3700x) and a RTX4070Ti. With the R7 5800X3D you will notice a big boost in tarkov, especially in the 1% frames, check this out:

As rgd1101 idicates you. list that info, specially the PSU, is very important to us in order to suggest more things.
The most concearning to me is the cpu, at least in tarkov, in squad i have 0 experience. Its kinda weak in raids with many scavs or bosses. Before i had a 3700x, and my 4070ti perform terrible in customs and labs ( most played ) also in MW2. Stutter everywhere...

If you are using something below 4k its likely that you are cpu capped. I am playing at 2560x1440 and the 5800x3d its a must with this cards.
Watch your C: drive, you should left at least 15-25% of free space for proper performance and endurance. With the 5800x3d you may use faster ram but you could work fine with 3000mhz speed if your budget is limited and you dont want to swap many things.

I have 3600hz ram on the way as well as the 5800X3D. I was really concerned seeing 0 FPS gain after installing a 4080 from my 3060ti. Do I need to do anything with graphics drivers after upgrading?

Did you perform a clean installation of drivers using DDU to remove all old drivers?. Drivers should be installed and work, you can tweak things but is not needed...

Check your CPU and GPU usage while playing. If you change graphical settings and see 0 change on avg fps, the problem is that you have a weak CPU, which you and i know and you already got one better... So wait to install the 5800x3D and tell us if your case improved. ( Spoiler: You will, a lot... ).
What cooler you are using? Seems to be more than enough what you have, but just to know.
Connect the gpu cables individually, 3 different 8 pins cables (Only if you have one custom card with an 8 pin).

Hey there,

What res are you playing at? Your prob gonna get no huge bump at 1080p because the CPU is a little slow (not too slow) for the newer card. The 5800x3d will give a nice boost at 1080p. Your CPU sends the pre-rendered frames to the GPU to work out al the stuff you see on screen. So if it can't feed the 4080 fast enough it just sits there sometimes waiting.

Once you go above 1080p, the balance shifts more onto the GPU.
