I have a rampage 4 extreme with a 3820. Cleared my nvidia drivers and shut down. Replaced my cards (680s ^^^ 970s 2x SLI). Now I'm getting n audible "vga not detected" indicator (3 beeps). I've tried an HDMI and every DVI port still nothing. Any advice?

No. Same response every time. 1 beep, followed by 3. I remember adding an SSD and running into issues. Also when i first moved and put the output cables in different spots had the same issue. It's this stupid board. I kniw other people have had similar issues. Like them it's very eratic. Once it finally boots it runs perfect. But now it just isn't noticing any vga montior.

Oh and display on the mobo is "AA" which means everything is nominal. Just not detecting any GPU output. There is a GPU selector and I have 1&3 selected. PCIE 1&3 are being used. This is standard. However, i did swap out the case too but everything looks solid from that end also. Again, I've had issues just with moving before. Moved to my current house in 2014 and my PC wouldn't recognize my monitors.

Thank you for taking the time to help. Still to no avail but these cards are BIG. The Gigabyte 970 G1 cards are bigger than reference 970s. They are 35% larger than my 680s. Heck, they are way bigger than my gtx 295 which was a dual 280.

Swapped both GPUs. Then I went with one GPU. Tried the other GPU. Swapped the ram. Then finally put my 680s in to see how one 680 fared versus the sli and single 970 set up. Booted on my first try. I'm strongly considering sending the 970s back and just saying to heck with it or ordering another 970 from another company.

Installed one old 680. Booted right away. Downloaded an updated BIOS. Swapped 680 out for a 970. Booted. Went well. Added another ildor 970s in SLI. All is well unless we're talking about Arma3; graphics stayed the same (as expected). BF4? 5760X1080 maxxed out with post AA turned off (i like it that way): 70-110fps depending ipon the map.
