[SOLVED] Upgraded to Ryzen 7 3800 -- now no video output

My specs were:

asus tuf gaming b450 mobo,
GTX 1660 super,
ryzen 5 2600
32 gbs of tridentz ram,

I bought a ryzen 7 3800x and installed it, I realized after I needed to update the bios for this I believe, but now even when I put my ryzen 5 back in nothing happens on the screen, I am only connecting monitor mouse and keyboard and still nothing, I tried reseating the GPU and removing the battery for 1 minute, still no change, any ideas?

Have you connected 8-pin PCIe cable from the PSU to the 1660 super?

Yes I have, everything was running correctly before I attempted to upgrade, I have returned everything to the previous working configuration.

Me too, like I cant possibly think of what could have happened to make it no display when I put my old processor back in, it was all running perfectly fine I just wanted to upgrade the cpu. this sucks

Question your assumptions.
For example, is the monitor powered on?
Is the monitor input selection correct?

Go over all of your connections, reseating everything.
Assume that each was not fully inserted.

Hey now you sound like my wife lol but I have checked and double and triple checked all the connections nothing is helping!

In the process of swapping processors, perhaps you have managed a bent pin or damaged the socket.
Take the processor/s out and closely examine the socket and the pins.

Possibly the socket, i checked the pins on both processors, im headed up to micro center to pick up a new mobo

Dis you see any damage to the socket?
Normally, a damaged socket is considered as user error and not valid for a RMA by the manufacturer.
You might get lucky with microcenter.

I would CLEAR the CMOS before trying a new motherboard/CPU.
Clear CMOS using these steps:
Unplug the PC (PSU).
Then press the Power Button for at least 30 seconds.
Use a flat headed screwdriver to short the CLR CMOS (CLRTC) Jumper (Touch both jumper pins with the screwdriver) for at least 15 seconds.
Plug the PC back in.
Press the Power Button to turn the PC on.
Repeatedly tap the DEL key
A screen should come up telling you to press the F1 key, do that.
Set the Optimized Default settings and Press OK (this is on the EXIT tab)
Save and exit the BIOS.
Tap the DEL key again to enter the BIOS and change any settings you want changed then save and exit again.
