I have been experiencing a strange problem with my computer. This only happens when I am gaming, the computer screen goes blank but the computer itself is still running. I can hear the game sounds and the friends I'm chatting to on skype, but I just can't see anything. The only thing I can do is shut it down by manually pressing the power button.

Sometimes the screen will recover, and it says that the Nvidia Graphics card has crashed and recovered. I tried running MSI after burner to try to find the problem

Yes that is idle, but that program I used to measure the cpu temp called Speccy is the only one that says it I tried other cpu temp measuers and the rest say 25 degrees to around 40 when playing

when I I copied that information it was idle but I feel speccy doesn't give accurate readings as I have tried 2 other programs which both say about 34degrees when speccy would say 82 degrees

I'm using the latest nividia driver version as of now and have tried the newest realise that fixes photoshop, I have also tried older realises when it used to work. The problem is my Psu should be fine as its brand new and this problem only happened the day I went to windows 10 so I downgraded back to 8.1 and the problems persist. each time I tried a new driver I have used DDU

My psu is EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

You should remove all of the temperature measuring programs but one of them. They can conflict with one another.

I use hwmonitor. If accurate, 66 is too hot for idle.

Is this system overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, or memory)? Also, are your major drivers (video, audio, chipset, network) up to date?

Last, what make/model is your power supply?

My drivers are all up to date, by overclocking no my cpu is the AMD 860k black edition and is running at 3.7mhz my graphics card were factory overclocked I think I'm not too sure as it says on the box superclocked edition.

In the event manager tho it says its a driver crash

Overheating and power issues, as well as OC impacts, can cause driver issues.

Your power should be good.

Have you tested your memory with an app like memtest (www.memtest.org)?

Try this, test your temps under load now. Then power the system down and test with the side cover of your case removed. How big is the difference (before and after)?

Im starting to think it could be my cpu, i got a new one the day i got windows 10 , but surley my power supply can handle my cpu, i also sent my g card back got a new one and just been playing for 3 hours then it crashed screen black same as before but this time my pc shutdown at the end isnted of just recorveing and when i looked at the event logs it didnt say anywhere about the driver crash
