Hello,
I would like to download sound drivers for hp compaq 7100 sff running windows 7.

They list two models with that number. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=410112&taskId=135

Unfortunately, they do not list any Windows 7 drivers. The Vista drivers may work for some things. You would just have to try them.

In the future before upgrading, it might be a good idea to use this tool. http://windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor

Microsoft also offers this page of help. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

best tool to use before changing the original os is to back them up to a usb stick/cd/dvd

there is a free tool called "double driver" ive used many times

it can be gotten from majorgeeks

forgot to mention, you dont need to install app (does batch backup and restore as well)

Here is another such tool that is pretty good. http://www.pendriveapps.com/driver-backup-save-drivers-before-formatting/
