My father is currently using a stock Dell Inspiron 580. He mostly uses it to play Diablo 3 and WoW (all on lowest settings of course). However, even those are starting to chug a bit, and he'd like to play things like Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas (which are barely playable on this thing). So, to put it simply- what do I need to tell him to replace, and with what specific pieces? I can order and put the things in for him, but I have no idea what to actually get for something like this.

As a reference this thing just needs to play games on the lowest settings since my dad cares more about the game being fun and running smoothly rather than looking like a pile of diamonds. Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, it would be very hard to upgrade a prebuilt like this because even if the case has enough room for a graphics card, the power supply might not be able to provide enough.

If there is enough room in the case, grab him one of these

That should grab any power from the power supply, and assuming the case has enough room to fit it, you should be good.

Also go ahead and gram him 8gb of ddr3 1333 Mhz ram.
