I wouldnt really recommend upgrading this, it has DDR2 ram.

If you wanted to upgrade, i would recommend a new motherboard, new processor, new RAM, etc. Unless you wanted REALLY low frame rates. DDR2 ram is expensive now too, because it isnt manufactured in mass amounts anymore.

That's basically like making a new pc. Is it really that bad?

Unfortunately the amount of time and money spent on upgrading this you may as well have bought a new computer. Which would be better anyways.

That solves the motherboard issue. however, your processor still uses 90nm lithography, is 2.8 ghz, and only has 2 cores. If you want, I can suggest a build for you, just give me your price range, and what you want to use it for.

Alright, with the cpu, gpu and 1 tb, maybe less than $400 AUD.

That doesnt give you much room. I just made a build for about that price, but it doesn't play games too well yet.

400 AUD is 279 USD. I cant really suggest a build, because I had a harddrive, optical drives, and a windows 7 disk lying around. I also got really good deals with AMD products.

Okay, forget about the hard drive for now. Please find a cpu and a gpu.

That isn't really possible, we're basically in the same boat as when you asked if the 950 was compatible. The fact is your machine is old and out of date. You are really only faced with one option and that is to save your money. It may take some time, maybe even a long time but it will be worth it in the long run. It's not always easy to save but if you can try to get a job or just put away the money you have until you save up a decent amount.

agreed. unless you want to switch to AMD, and get a new mobo, processor, RAM, etc. you're out of luck

Here is a build I just made, it might do you ok, but i made it speedy so i would ask around on the site.

Also, if some parts you dont have arent listed here, feel free to let me know.

Is it the cpu?

Look, I really just want to build it with what I got. What about I'll make a list and you tell me if it's okay?

Yes. They are all compatible. But, that motherboard is not manufactured anymore, so it is $82 to $150 in USD new. plus that processor which is $30. thats $118- $180 in USD, which i could get you a nice 4 ghz quad core and a decent mobo for that price. Just say the words, and I will put all of that into a good build!

Is it good? Will it be able to play blade and soul and gta5?
Wait what? (didn't understand the end part)

Everything is good, but the processor and the motherboard. For about the same price i can put in a pretty good AMD quad core and an ok mainboard. If you want, i can do that for you and see how you like it.

LGA 775? (If yes, please make as cheap as possible)
If you could make a intel one, that would really help.

I can make you an intel one, but you would have to save up a bit more, intel is substantially pricier than AMD.
