Long overdue for some upgrades onto my gaming machine, namely RAM and CPU: both of which require a new MOBO, which I have (https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-Z390-UD-LGA1151-Motherboard/dp/B07HS59X7P). I know, nothing special or anything but hey.
I have plans on getting an i7 (probably locked, but if unlocked is marginally more then I suppose I could go that route), and plan on picking up either a 2070 or 2080 to replace my 1070.
My main thing is the RAM, what are the best options for me here? If I had to slap a budget onto it; I suppose I'd say its in the $100-200 range. Also, how is that MOBO? The reviews don't seem too shabby, but I have read and heard that Gigabyte is just trash and to steer clear.
Note: I don't overclock, so.
I don't need storage, OS, display or a new case.
