Hey everyone,

I want to upgrade my PC by purchasing the 5800x3d and RTX 4070

My current PC is
Asus B450F Gaming, R5 3600x (w/ coolermaster hyper 212 evo), GTX1070, Masterwatt 750w PSU

I watched some videos that the 5800x3d is very hot, I would like to know if it will be ok with my B450F and my aircooler from CM, what do you think?

Thanks!

I have a saved copy of a very old power table of amd cpus not sure where it came from or where to get a new one.

It is still current enough that it has the 5800x3d. I says your 3600x is 95watts and the 5800x3d is 105. That means your 212evo should be fine. I am not sure why they say the 5800x3d is hot when stuff like 13900k uses 2 to 3 times the power/heat.

There are a bunch of very inexpensive air coolers on the market now and they greatly exceed the capacity of the older style 212evo. Other than having to do a cooler swap I would try the 212evo first.

......read the specs on your motherboard to be 100% sure but I suspect at most you will need a bios upgrade to support the newer cpus.

Hi, I checked and it's supported. I just wanted to know if the VRM of the board would impact perfomance and etc.

Considering a 5800x would be cheaper, but the perfomance difference is so lower?
