Hello everybody!

I have a desktop PC with a GTX 1060 (6GB).
My motherboard is a TUF B360M-E GAMING with a Core i7 CPU.

I was wondering if I can safely upgrade my graphics card to an ASUS Dual RTX 3060 V2 OC (12GB).

If so, then what am I missing due to not having PCIe 4.0?
Will I see a significant increase in gaming performance?
Will I be able to run local AI models which require 12GB of VRAM?

Thank you for any help!

which power supply are you using?

the board and CPU will work fine with such a card.

PCIe 4: not really an issue, nearly no negative effect
Performance: yes, it will be significant. Nearly +30 to 60% better than the 1060, depending on the game
AI: yes, why not?

I would assume you are on something like a 9700 series with that chipset if memory serves right. This will certainly be a nice upgrade to your system. One aspect I would mention is that if you are looking at this card for the Ray Tracing these don't pull that off terribly well. Otherwise, should be a good performer for you.
