upgrading a gtx 760 to a gtx 970

i5 4570 (non-k)
ASUS h87m-e
8GB of ram corsair vengence
1tb western digital and a 840 evo 256 gb ssd
gs 600w corsair
gtx 760 palit jetstream

1) is the upgrade worth it? im currently playing at 1920x1080p on a 75hz monitor ( planning to get the 144hz in the future).

2) will i have to uninstall all my nvidia drivers before replacing it?

It'd be a relatively worthy upgrade over your current 760 for sure. A 970 would serve you fine at the resolution for a good while. Your current drivers, although it wouldn't hurt to leave them, I always uninstall.

If you're going to a 144Hz monitor, it's a worthwhile upgrade, no question. Buy it...buy it now 😉

As sammy sung said, chances are that leaving the old driver wouldn't hurt, but do it just in case.

by uninstalling the drivers, meaning every nvidia`s drivers including nvidia`s HD audio driver , physx system software, 3d vision controller, etc?

Actually, the 960 is not all that great of an upgrade for somebody with a 760. The new 960ti should be out soon hopefully and it would be a much better option. The 280x is about the same price as the 960 and it's better in pretty much everything.
