Upgrading Acer Aspire AX1200-U1510A

Hello,

I was given this computer and thought it would make a great little gaming machine to play some MMO's (WoW) on medium settings. Running into a couple of issues, but also looking for advice on what to upgrade.

Windows 10 is extremely slow -- Right now I have a 64 bit version installed. Should I go 32bit or downgrade to Windows XP? I've installed Windows 10 on older machines before and have never experienced this type of lag.

Can anyone recommend a low profile GPU? This is a small form PC. It would be nice to get medium settings on WoW and some other MMO's. Not aiming for Ultra.

Any other upgrades you recommend?

Different scenario -

Forget games and I just want to be able to dual screen and daily task (email, videos, excel, etc). What should I upgrade? Right now its so laggy I wouldnt want to work on this computer.

That system is not worth spending any money on. Nothing that could be upgraded would make it WoW capable, or enjoyable to use.

That computer is a door stop, there is a reason you got it free. Do not spend any money on it, you're better off lighting the money on fire.

With a system that old you would be better off with a lightweight Linux installation.

The best use for that system would be to fill it with concrete, drill a hole in one corner, thread a rope through it, then use it as a row boat anchor. It was just barely usable when it was new.
