This is my build as of typing right now with staggered bought/gifted dates

I5 8500 (Bought August 2018)
MSI H310M Pro VDH (Bought August 2018)
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666 16 gb ram (8 GB bought August 2018, 8 GB bought December 2018)
Zotac RTX 2060 6 GB (bought February 2019)
Dell S2715h @ 2240x1260 (Midway between 1440p and 1080p for personal taste/game benchmarking purposes
EXGA G1+ 1000 watt power supply (July 2018)
LG Blu Ray Burner Drive (March 2011, spanned my 2 previous Holiday builds and still kicking)
Coolermaster V8 with Corsair 120mm fan (part of older 2015 2600k gifted build after the my 2012 build)
Crucial MX100 256 GB (2015 gifted build oldest but still fastest SSD)
OCZ Trion 240 GB (2015 gited build previous media storage-games SSD)
HP S700 500 GB (newest September 2019 but media storage games SSD)

That newest secondary SSD is where Destiny 2-Shadowkeep is right now and where Red Dead Redemption 2 will go. Is my build more than enough? My first instinct is to go for a non k 9700 if Amazon can get a shipment again

Solution
Well, the game is unreleased so until there are benchmarks anything is pure speculation. With a 6 core CPU, you should be fine. The system is no beast but should be a very solid gaming system.

Thanks

I would have a budget to upgrade to a 2070 Super specifically because Zotac has the mini version as a preference. But if 9700 is better longterm, aka more demanding future games than Red Dead

RTX 2080 Super doesn't have a mini version
