[SOLVED] upgrading advice

current spec

AMD RYZEN 3 2200G
APACER 8GB RAM
APC 240GB SSD
AVF 650W PSU
GIGABYTE MB
NVIDIA GTX 1650

my plan of upgrade is these:

-psu upgrades to seasonic s12ii 80+ bronze 520w
-Cpu upgrades to ryzen 5 2600
-adding another ssd which is Samsung 860 Evo 500gb

Is this decent?

will be playing triple a titles like borderlands 3 and monster hunter world.

I might say to consider a normal hard drive instead of the ssd. Use the ssd you have as a boot drive and the normal drive as storage for your games etc.

I'd also probably consider getting another 8gb of ram for a total of 16gb.

After those things, then I'd begin saving money for a stronger CPU.

You most probably don't need stronger PSU just on account of 2600x, use money for 3600 instead.

Thought you talked about the psu he has not what he wants to buy ..... should you be able to get by what i said.

His AVF 650W PSU should still be enough but yes Sasonik is better make. Going from 2200g to 2600 is not much of a jump in power requirements to warrant PSU change.

I wouldn't say that. That AVF 650W is a piece of garbage PSU. If you look at the reviews and experts opinions on forums they use the terms "It will do the job or burn down your house".

It might have enough Watts but the quality is very low.

Btw that price is 15 dollars US from that website. 15 dollars for a PSU. That's dangerous

I know it says 631 watts on the +12V combined,but did you see what connectors it comes with? Have a bad feeling when seeing that.
