[SOLVED] Upgrading after about 4 1/2 years, 1500 dollar budget

So it's been about 4 or 5 years since my last posts asking about what pc parts to buy, and the PC I am using just isn't cutting it anymore. The specs of that PC are as listed here : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2tWttp

I also have a 500 GB SSD.

Like the title says My budget is 1500 and I dont plan on buying a new case.
This budget includes a monitor.
I have made an Intel Configuration and an AMD one linked below

I do edit video and use aftereffects quite regularly, along with 1080p 144hz gaming.
If this isn't the best build at this price point I'd appreciate any input. Thanks in advance

You don't want to get two single-stick RAM kits. They might not work properly together. Get a single kit. Also, the H60 wouldn't be a good idea on the i7-9700K, but it would work well with the Ryzen 7 3700X.

I like the AMD system better.
If you are doing video work quite often, you will see a good benefit from the extra threads and cache of the Ryzen 7 3700x.

• Although the 3700x would work properly on the Corsair H60, the similarly priced ML240 is a better AIO with RGB.
• Go for a matched ram kit, even if it is $10 more.
• I upgraded to a 2TB 7200RPM hdd for $10 less than the 1TB drive.
• The reference 1 fan 5700xt cards run rather hot and around the same cost, you can get a 2 fan model which will run cooler and quieter.
• The Corsair CX650M is adequate, but I upgraded to a BitFenix Formula 750w gold PSU for only $8 more. The BitFenix is a bit more efficient and higher quality.

The I7 9700k would not be a good idea on the H60 as the 9700k puts off a lot of heat compared to a 3700x. The ML240 or better would be more suited to an I7 or I9 8 core.

Thanks for the replies! I am going to look into the options you listed as replacements and will definitely get the set now, didn't know there could be compatibility issues. Also do you know if the Mobo comes with Bluetooth? Also would this fit inside the case I currently have? Also if I save an extra 70 to go to the r7 3800x will it be worth it? Not planning to upgrade for another few years. And lastly, if I hold off until around December is there any new graphics cards or CPUs coming out by then that would be worth waiting for or is October a good month to buy? Sorry for so many questions.

No that motherboard doesnt have wifi or bluetooth.

It would fit inside your current atx case.

3800x isnt worth the money over the 3700x

Doubtful there will be much new soon, but i cant predict the future.
