Upgrading AMD CPU in a Dell

Motherboard:
Dell Optiplex 740 SFF PY127 w/ AM2 Socket

Current CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 2.0GHz 3800+ 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W
ADO3800IAA5CU

And I want to upgrade to this CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 3.0GHz 6000+ 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W
ADX6000IAA6CZ

Will this work or do I need to give more information?

Well, according to your link, it says the max processor support on your mobo is Athlon x2 upto 1 MB cache only, however the processor you mentioned has 2 MB cache, so I doubt it and as others said you should see the max wattage your mobo can handle...Better ask dell.
