Upgrading AMD to Intel... help?

I am trying to upgrade my pc from AMD to Intel. I have a lot of questions about my hard drive. Will I get to keep all of my files and programs after rebooting my OS? How do you even reboot an OS? Another question is can I completely wipe my Hard Drive and then reinstall Windows from there? My PC is prebuilt with Windows 8.1 pre installed with it. HELP PLEASE!!

I am looking to upgrade my processor from AMD to Intel. So motherboard and ram need to be as well.

You should format your hard drives prior to upgrading, take out your motherboard etc. out after, install the new parts and start installing Windows using a USB/DVD drive.
