Upgrading an AMD apu, need some advice

Hi all,
Currently in my system I have an Amd a4 6300 and I am looking to upgrade it. My problem is that the a4 6300 has limited upgrade potential considering that it is an fm2 socket. So I've narrowed down my options, and what I have come up with is buying an a10 5800k, and keeping the same motherboard, or buying an fx 6300 and a new motherboard. Which would you guys recommend and which do you think would be best price to performance.

Do you have a discrete GPU, separate from your APU to get graphics from your FX6300? If you do, there are other possibilities.

Yes, currently i have a GTX 650

OK If you have a GPU, then an Athlon X4 750K would be a good upgrade option. It is the processor core of the A10, but cheaper since it lacks the iGPU.
