I'm upgrading my PC as it's starting to struggle a bit, this is my current build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/wpfnf8

I'm looking at upgrading mainly RAM, as I have currently a single 8GB stick of corsair value. I'm just not sure what to get.

Also open to ideas on the case as the Meshify C is the planned change from an X-Predator.

Your cpu is excellent, no need to change it out.
In what way are you struggling?

I think a 2 x 8gb ram replacement is likely a good idea.
That will give you faster dual channel operation.
If your ram is working, it is not terrible.
You are wise to plan on a 2 stick kit as an upgrade.
Disparate ram sticks are not supported and may not work.
Speed is largely irrelevant.

If your struggles are due to cpu single thread rates, you can overclock your I5-4690K by some 20% if you change to a Z97 based motherboard.

If your struggles are because of graphics, then make the graphics upgrade a significant jump, say a GTX1080 class card.

If you have not yet done so, consider buying a SSD for your C drive and favored games. Samsung evo of 240gb or...
Maybe upgrade to an i7 if you really feel like it but that cpu should carry you for a while. I would say pick up another 8gb stick of ram, because games are starting to use 8gb or more of ram. Also you could purchase a new gpu like the 1060 or 1070, just depends on your budget.

Planning to get a 1070 in October but would need to save for it, the current RAM is pretty terrible so was hoping to get rid of it completely for a new set, buget for the RAM alone is around £100 but could stretch to add a little more

Any recommendations for ram kits? CPU is OC'ed to 4.6 currently so no issues there, possible the MOBO I have listed is the wrong model there will check when home. Also on the SSD front recently upgraded to a 256GB 850 EVO so all good there. Thanks for the help!

There are many good ram kits like Corsair, G-skill and so on, just pick one your like and with highest speed and lowest timing for your budget. If you can find a good used I7-4790K, that doesn't cost too much, that would also be a good performance improvement.

Any brands you would recommend avoiding, checking around and the cheapest are brands I haven't really heard of; Things like Vulcan and Muskin.
