I began getting the BSOD every day for the past few months caused by "ntoskrnl.exe" (nt+0x150CA0) . After multiple posts and thread conversations many people concluded that it can be due to the motherboard and I should get a new one. I currently have the Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 motherboard and was wondering what anyone would recommend as a replacement board for Canada. I was happy with that board and not looking for anything expensive.

These are the specs of my comp:
Power Supply: Antec Basiq BP550 Plus 550W 24PIN ATX 12V V2.2 80PLUS
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 EXTREME3 GEN3 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E SATA3 USB3.0 SLI
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K Quad Core Unlocked Processor LGA1155 3.3GHZ Sandy Bridge
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750TI 2GB GDDR5 128BIT

If your PC runs fine with the win8.1, you have the problem only after upgrade to win10, that means the problem related to win10 compatibility. You should try to take out other hardware like add-on card, games keyboard, something like that one by one to see which one cause the problem. Or try to clean install the win10 after you done the upgrade to win10. How to http://www.cnet.com/how-to/clean-install-windows-10/#!

Also try to update the intel chipset driver (10.1.1.8 version) / intel Management Engine ( for win10) for other gigabyte Z77 MB, like here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4140#dl

also notice that the prosses id is chrome.exe from that link above form in the posted dump file ? look up chrome is a resource hog and all the memory issues it can have ..

that guy could of just uninstalled it and been fine ?? [opinion] google chrome can cause a few issues with memory or cpu

so your using 10 ?? may not have proper support for that older board ?? just look at the download pages for just between 7 and 8 ? anyway that's my first guess as also seeing asrock has not posted any 10 support of there own ?

windows 8 support page [notice how at the end of the link it says ''beta''
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z68%20Extreme3%20Gen3/index.asp?cat=Beta

win 7 [a lot more driver and support downloads]

Yes, but initially I had Windows 8 and I had this issue. I then switched to Windows 8.1 and then Windows 10. I had the issue with each one. So now I am thinking that it has nothing to do with my drivers but with my hardware.

all I see is anything over win 7 at asrock is beta ? now you may try to go to each devices home page and see if they posted 10 support that asrock has not and try them out ??.

notice that that's just win 8 - theres nothing listed for 8.1 either ? to me if its not showing support its just not supported by asrock and what you do from that is your own risk ??

well you think its the hard ware ?? could be but like I said that board don't give any true support over 7 for any hardware , right ?? just some beta for 8 at best

also at evga and all I do se some guys with issues with the NVidia 10 driver ? may look at that deal as well ?

when you go into beta stuff and something fresh untried like 10 you got to expect these things - it could just be some kind of silly compatibility thing.
its not like you using verified stuff

then your last bios was from 2012 so not much help from that if something was needed for it

maybe some help from here ??
