Hi, I am looking at upgrading my motherboard as it is not very upgradable. Limited to 4 GB and other things. So my current computer has an AMD Athlon II 645 x4. I'm trying to figure out if it is compatible with the newer AM3+ socket boards, so I can save some cash until I can upgrade to a newer processor like the FX-6300 Hexa Core processor. Mainly my build is for the eventual build to a hobbiest engineering computer to eventually use something like AutoCAD or Solidworks.

Plans include the following parts:
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01
EVGA Supernova 750 G2
Nvidia Quadro K640 (will upgrade later if I need something more)
8 GB RAM
Samsung Evo 850 500GB

I'm taking parts from an Acer Aspire X1420G-U5832 that I have lying around for parts to start this build slowly.
