Motherboard: Gigabyte M3970AM-HP

Processor: AMD FX-8350

Memory: 8GB DDR3-1600

Video Graphics: Eyefinity Radeon HD 7570

Storage: 2TB Seagate Barracuda

Case: Mid-Size ATX

I was wondering what is worth upgrading to improve speed and performance for gaming and running multiple programs at once.
I am also on a budget not willing to spend much more than $300.
I want to make sure everything is compatible as well

Your graphics card is weak, I would pick up a new graphics card and power supply.

This is why you dont buy these crappy HP computers. Your ability to upgrade is not great.
I agree, your GPU and Power supply are terrible.

Spend a little more and get a modular PSU. You will have hell running cables in that HP cases, trust me.

If I were to buy the GTX 760 GPU and the 650W Power supply, would it be compatible with the other components of my computer?
Also is it going to be a hassle installing them?

Installing in that case will not be fun because its custom made for HP. You can do it however. Installing a GPU is really easy. The hard part will be removing old PSU and installing new one.
