Upgrading CPU and mobo

Hey guys. I'm going to upgrade to haswell when it comes out. How would I go about doing this without losing my data?

Easy. Back up your data before installing the new parts.

I would imagine that as long as your currently using AHCI for your hard drive controller, the new haswell uses AHCI and your Windows install is retail you should be able to just plop your hard drive into the new system, go through the minor inconvenience of driver installs and an OS re-activation.

Of course, I would back it up before you attempt this.

Okay, so what im getting from you paul is that I would just have to install the mobo drivers and chipset drivers? Would the fact that im going from AMD to Intel do anything?
