[SOLVED] Upgrading CPU and Motherboard

So im about to upgrade my CPU and motherboard from AMD to Intel, which im lead to believe isnt as simple as going from AMD to AMD. I'm unsure if I can just swap out the hardware, and if all my files on my drives will be untouched. I'm also unsure about the whole process with reinstalling windows (I have windows 10, connected to my microsoft account) thanks

You'd have to reinstall anyway. And which Intel processor are you looking at? Most budgets AMD will build you a better gaming rig with the option of upgrading.
