Question Upgrading CPU, Budget $600, (may need cooler) Please Help!

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I play at 144hz but I plan on going to 240hz later. I also play 1080p.

Hello just need some help on some stuff I'm trying to upgrade. Currently I have the Ryzen 5 2600X and it has been underperforming / barely breaking 180fps on Valorant so I'm looking to upgrade my CPU.

I've been using the stock cooler and am wondering if the Ryzen 7 I have in the PCPList is compatible or a cooler is optimal (please tell me good air coolers if the one on the list is not good). My other question is, are the stuff I have on the list decent and should I go forward on it? Please give me better replacements if you can find any.

If you can give any better alternatives please do so, and also my big question is whats a good cooler that would fit in my case if the one on the list is not good.

You might want to see if 5800X3D is available on your country or local shop and price is reasonable, for the ram i think that's enough but if you want to squeeze a bit more, go for the 3600mhz ram. Try take a look at this.

Before you're replacing the cooler, follow this step by step in order (read till end) to optimize the system (and avoiding performance issues):

• Disconnect from internet
• Uninstall every gpu driver using DDU (clean and do not restart).
• Uninstall all the processors (is a must, should be 12 on yours, also when it asks for restart, click on no and keep uninstalling all processors) on device manager like this:
  
  
  
  
  
• Uninstall AMD Chipset Software in control panel (if there is none, skip it.)
  
  
• restart the pc to bios, disable AMD fTPM and secure boot, save and exit, go to bios again, flash to the latest bios (if you didnt yet), go to bios again and shut down the pc (by turning off psu, just dont boot to windows yet)
  
  
• then replace cpu, boot up and go to bios, re flash the latest bios again (after installing the new cpu), then load default or optimized settings, disable CSM, enable Above 4G Decoding and Resizable bar option (these 2 options wont be available unless CSM is disabled), do not enable XMP yet, then save and exit.
  
  
• boot up to windows and install the latest Chipset driver (should be ver 4.03.xx), then reboot.
  
  
• Install the latest nvidia driver, and then connect to internet.
  
  *do this all offline until reboot after installing chipset driver, also you may reboot to bios after all of this to set the XMP (and previous settings you did). Download needed files (highlighted word) before doing step 1, do the step by orders.
  
  
• Run cmd as admin, then do chkdsk /x /f /r, after that do sfc /scannow
  
  
• And check windows update if there is any and install them (except chipset in optional update). Don't forget to turn on Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (Nvidia GPUs only) in graphics settings and reboot.
  
  
• Make sure the psu connected to the gpu is 1 pcie cable per 1 slot (use main cable, not the branches/split) like this:
  
  

This step i always use when upgrading the cpu since sometimes my friend complained about the issues, bsods, and bad optimization after upgrading the cpu straight forward, you could think this like "refreshing" the driver
