Upgrading CPU but keeping old GPU

With the resent issues of the GPU market I've decided that I will upgrade my CPU first and wait until the market improves. I would like second opinions on my plans and what kind of issues to expect, this is my first attempt to do a upgrade. Currently I have i5 4670K with a EVGA gtx 770 dual superclock and plan to get the i7 8700K. I would like to know how my graphic card affects the new CPU, i expect bottlenecking but don't know how severe. Normal I would have waited until everything is available but with CPU security issues potential becoming a problem within 6 to 12 months and older CPU's have greater performance drop, i had to change my plans.

I take it you're going to buy another mobo as well?

Because you cant use a Coffee Lake CPU on a socket 1150 mobo

Yes, I'm changing a lot of my components on this upgrade.
