You need to know model name of your cpu.
Then you can find socket type, it uses.
Then, when selecting cpu cooler, you have to make sure, it has support for your cpu socket.

Next - you need to know model name of your pc case.
Then you can find cpu cooler clearance info (max cpu cooler height allowed).
Then, when selecting cpu cooler, you have to make sure, it has height within limits supported by your pc case.
You can measure cpu cooler clearance yourself also, if finding pc case model name is not possible.

What is the make/model of your cpu/motherboard/case and ram?
What is your current cooler?
Is it doing the job, or do you think you need more?
Any of those factors could be important.
Most new air coolers will have mounting kits that will handle most anything.
The cpu is important to determine how capable the cooler needs to be.
The ram model may be important because some air coolers may conflict with tall ram heat spreaders.
In rare cases, some motherboards will locate the first pcie slot too close to the cpu for some coolers.

cpu is i7 6700k
motherboard maximus viii hero
case deepccol matrexx 50
i dont know rams and cpu cooler

Scythe fuma 2 has
height 154mm and
support for LGA1151.
There's no reason for it not to fit.

May be only with some ultra tall ram modules, they could interfere with cpu cooler.
ok thanks im just making sure that i wont make a mistake buying it and istalling it
