Hello guys, before that i would like to say sorry for my bad English

I'm looking for CPU to upgrade my rig, I have freesync 75hz monitor, 400w 80+ Bronze PSU, i3 4170, MSI GTX 1060 Armor, 2x4gb Team Tforce Vulcan 3000mhz before. and I feel that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU, so i initiate to buy a new CPU for this rig.

I heard that Ryzen CPUs is doing better than intel CPUs nowdays, and also heard that we can trick the freesync system work with nvidia gpus using Ryzen APU is it worth it?

If it worth it what should i buy?
2400G or 2200G

and if it's not, what should i buy?
8100/1300X/1500X

or should i wait for another two or three month for 2300X/2500X?

thanks

You can work around free sync with an Nvidia GPU using a APU, but a driver patch from Nvidia will probably close the loop hole. I would not build a system around that idea.

If I were you, I would not go with any of the new CPUs as you would need a new platform (CPU/Mobo/RAM). Instead, get a used i5 4440 or a i7 4770 to drop into that system. It will be a lot cheaper and have very similar, if not better, performance.

wont i5 4449 and i7 4770 bottlenecking my GPU?
and also i already have ddr4 ram that i bought with low price from my friend due his ram doesnt support his mobo

thx again

The truth is, the CPU performance has been very stagnant since the 4th gen Intel Core CPUs were released, especially in gaming performance. IPC increase have been minimal. The 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th gen Intel CPUs have only increase core count and seen a slight bump in clock speeds. There have been no architecture improvements over those generations.

While the Rzyen CPUs are fantastic at multithreading, for gaming they are on par with the 4th gen Intel CPUs. So if I was in a Haswell platform, I would stay there at least till next year and see what the AMD 7nm Ryzen CPUs do. They may be a very nice bump in performance. Intel should also release their new 10nm process next year, but it has been plagued with delays.
