Hi guys, Im not so good when it comes to hardware, but Im trying to upgrade my PC. Its basically for recording, with midi files and VST's because lately my computers having problems with this, and the CPU maxing out.
Can anyone tell me whats worth upgrading to get good performance out of it.
Im using an external soundcard so no problems there.

This is what CPU-Z says:
Dell Dimension 8200
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2Ghz,
478 mPGA socket
1536 MBytes RDRam in 4 slots - 2X256MB, 2X512MB

However, when my PCs starting up it says something about 256MB RAM

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to stay as low budget as possible.

Cheers, Skyrme
