I've seen a number of threads talking about upgrading a dell xps 8500, specifically the graphics card. Theres a good one about the evga Gtx 970, and alot of others where people recommend the 7970 and 7770( i believe that's the correct names). What i want to do is upgrade to the msi r9 390 8gb gaming card. Mainly what i want to know is will the stock motherboard for the 8500 support a r9 390. I've seen a few threads where people have stated that there have been bios issues with the 8500 when upgrading to a different card. I'm aware of the high possibility of the case not being large enough for the card and also that the psu will need to be upgraded. I don't have a problem with upgrading psu and case to get the card, but i don't want to have to shell out the extra cash for a new motherboard on top of all that if i don't have to. So has anyone tried to use the r9 390 on the xps 8500, is it possible, thanks in advance for any help.
