New egg just notified I5-10400 now available. I'm thinking the MSI B560M Mobo with 16GB Ram G.SKill 2x8(in case 1 pc bad) and MSI MPG A650 Gf 80 plus gold psu. For my old metal Mid tower case. The newer cases don't seem to be up to snuff.

Input as to my choices will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Solution
You want to run 3200mhz ram, on a B560. This would be my pick, and well under budget, for a 10400/B560 build.

Your above statement of "in case 1 pc bad" -- Implies that you are not buying a matched set of RAM. That is the wrong approach. Buy 16GB, as a single part number with two matched DIMMs. That means the manufacturer has tested them as a set and guarantees they work as a set.

Which B560m. Many B560 boards are quite terrible. I am not sure on that PSU quality either. What is your budget, for CPU, ram, board, and PSU. Also which GPU are you going to be running, in this system?

MSI PRO B560M PRO LGA 1200 Intel B560 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Intel Motherboard , after researching mobo reviews this seemed to be best choice. Budget with total about $600 for the components, G.Skill ram is about $70 for the 2x8 ddr4 2666 or 2132 and psu is about $70. The gpu is intel 630 onboard. Also the psu seems to be best choice after reviewing whats available.

I appreciate your detailed information. Every item that I looked at had some low purchaser reviews. That's why I went in the direction I indicated. Looks like I just jump in and take my lumps hoping for the Best.

Liked Intel with the Gpu built in. All the ryzen seem to require separate GPU. No a heavy gpu user here - mostly browsing & personal business for the pc.

I plan to look your suggestions in detail.

Thank you!

A bit more info, please.

The I5 10400 comes with cooler but would you suggest a different cooler than the stock?

The 5600g has integrated graphics, slightly more powerful than a GT 1030, and far better than Intel's.
