install the 780, seat it "carefully", dont forget the power pins..... then go download the latest nvidia beta drivers 337.50 then use display driver uninstaller.... http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/downloads.html
when it asks to reboot into safe mode let it. once finished, then install the latest betas and have fun.
The most complete way to uninstall drivers is to use the windows uninstaller to uninstall all the components (graphics driver, physx etc) and then use a bit of software called driverfusion to clear up any bits left behind.
So the answer is if you are using the Nvidia Geforce experience, do NOT uninstall drivers. Let them be. It ended up being more of a headache to uninstall, and when I finished it ended up being the EXACT same drivers and software 😛
