Hey everyone been a damn long time since i found my self on here.
Anyhow, my current specs are as follows
16GB Corsair Vengeance pro 2400mhz RAM
i7 4770k @ 3.5 (stock haven't touched it since i had BSOD problems with turbo turned on)
EVGA GTX 980 (Reference card, this was sent as a warranty replacement for a 780ti that died)
650w Corsair Supernova Gold.
LG 2560x1080 29" Superwide Monitor
Asus RoG Swift 2560x1440 144hz 27" Monitor (Being delivered this saturday)
I intend on using the Asus monitor as my main monitor and the LG as my secondary, being mounted above the Asus as more of a TV.
My main games are World of Warcraft, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1 when its released, Rainbow Six Siege and various other titles on steam.
Now i'm just a bit worried that running 2 monitors with one being 1440p, keeping stuff maxed out at a stable and playable frame rate is going to become and issue. With new titles releasing all the time with evermore demanding requirements will a 980 + 4770k be able to keep up or is it worth taking the plunge into a 1080 and 6700k? Hope and battle on and see if a 1080Ti comes out early next year?
What's your thoughts and advice?
Also just to add to this. I do not intend in overclocking my 4770k, i had a lot of issues with BSOD when i first got it so i'm assuming i got one of a bad batch, keeping turbo off solved this issue so OC'ing it isn't in the question.
