Upgrading for new games, where to start?

CPU: AMD FX 8350

MOBO: Gigbyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+

GPU: Zotace GeForce 760 2GB

Mem: 2x 4gb G.Skill SniperSeries DDR3-1866\

Figured GPU and Mem but I need an opinion of what would work best and be most cost efficient

You are looking at a new build. Both cpu and gpu are very weak by today’s standards and your DDR3 RAM is not usable with modern platforms.

for a new build for games, its kinda cheaper to get console

You could probably reuse your storage, case and psu but everything else needs to be replaced. I'd probably keep the 760 and grab a new CPU/MB/RAM now and when mid range RTX comes out I'd get that.
