I am upgrading my rig, which is this https://www.newegg.com/ibuypower-source-series-ne713i/p/N82E16883227505 with a RM 850x PSU and R9 390 added, with these parts;

  1. https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-3700X-16-Thread-Processor/dp/B07SXMZLPK/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=cpu&qid=1608772502&sr=8-1
  2. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KH1M1H4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  3. https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3200MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B0143UM4TC/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=16gb+3200mhz&qid=1608838319&sr=8-3&th=1#
  4. https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-Enthoo-Chassis-Window-PH-ES614P_BK/dp/B00K6S1B3Q/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1R7JQCNLZMPR5&dchild=1&keywords=pc+case+full+tower&qid=1608765752&sprefix=pc+case+,aps,447&sr=8-6&th=1
The upgrade is in preparation for a new GPU I will be saving up for which will be a large (something like Strix or Trio) model of the 3080 or 6800 XT. I have researched to the best of my ability and as far as i can tell the parts are compatible with each other and with the new GPUs. Does anyone agree or know better? Thanks for any info.

Try to get a B550 board.It has pcie gen 4.0 which will be better for your next gen card.To add to that you can always upgrade to a 5000 series procesor with b550 chipset,b450 can do it too,but only some b450 boards can do it.Check this mobo out:
https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B550-AORUS-Realtek-Motherboard/dp/B089FT8G44/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=b550&qid=1608851658&refinements=p_n_feature_six_browse-bin:2057506011&rnid=2057420011&s=pc&sr=1-2
Everything else in the build is good.
Much thanks for teh tip and info. Would the V2 B550 be the best option? As far as I can find out it has a few extra plug ins and one or two minor improvements but is essentially the same mobo.... while still being the better pick since the price is the same.
