Im looking a biying a new gigabyte vega 56 8gb gpu as it's on sale for a around $350cad and I'm wondering if this will be a good purchase. Or what would be a better purchase, I'm not set on amd but have had good luck with them in the past.
My setup is as follows:
Asus r9 280x
Asus x570 tuf gaming plus wifi
R9 3600x
16gb (2x8gb) corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 3600mhz
Evga 750w g3 power supply
Coolermaster 212 evo
Phanteks enthoo pro full tower case
Intake fans- 2x120mm bottom 1x200mm front
Exhaust fans- 2x120mm top 1x140mm back
Thanks

At ~$350CAD, the best you could do(brand new) would be the 1660 Super, which would more or less match the Vega 56.
Can't go wrong with either, although the 1660 Super would operate using less power, which may translate to lower overall temps, which would also allow for a lower fan curve?

I had a similar question recently, but I have the 280oc edition.
Vega 56 would be a worthy upgrade and good enough for 1080p gaming for years to come. I settled on a used gtx 1070 for $210, and my next option would have been a 1660 Ti or Super, or that vega 56.

If I had your setup and only gamed at 1080p, then I would do the 56 or the 1660 Super (for buying new).
If I was gaming at 1440p I would go for a 5700 or 5700XT.

I dont have pockets deep enough for 4k gaming
